I’m 73 and wish to trap coyote.and muskrat.I well bring all my licens up to date after the first of the year.
I’m going back to trapping do to health reasons .I need to walk a lot .I am a good trapper.I have always checked my trapes or snares every day. I take care of what I take.

Is it illegal to leave animals caught in a coyote trap to suffer and die in the trap?
new California transplant in our area is playing a poor quality electronic coyote call for hours. Dogs including mine are barking up a storm. I do not want to alienate him, but he apparently thinks his 20 acres can let him do anything.
Is there a way to address this?
I could show him how to be more effective, but he will likely be offended.
