Guided Coyote Hunts
If you’re looking for an experience of a lifetime, then you’ve found the right place. Our guided coyote hunts will provide you with an adventure you’ll never forget. The sights, the sounds, the smells are addicting and calling coyotes in the vast open lands of the west is our passion. Our clients come away with an unparalleled learning experience in the art of calling predators. The areas we call are bucket list material and hunters plan trips months ahead of time to call where we hunt. If you want a coyote hunting guide to get you in the right place at the right time then get in touch and lock down your spot.
What to Expect
Hunters can expect to call between 3 and 10 coyotes in a full day of calling. Weather and other factors can affect calling from day to day. We guarantee 8 hours of calling per day, and you can expect to make 12 – 15 stands per day.
You need to be in good enough physical condition to walk up to 10 miles per day. It isn’t strenuous hiking, but we put our hunters in the best position for success. We will be hunting elevations from 4,000 to 8,000 feet above sea level. To prevent yourself from getting too winded, we recommend doing at least three weeks of cardio training before making the trip.
We require a basic firearms safety test before venturing into the field. It is of utmost importance that gun safety is practiced in the field on our hunts. It is your responsibility to ensure your equipment is ready for use in the field. We require hunters to perform a zero test on their rifle before we start making stands. We’ve learned the hard way that you can’t hit coyotes when you’re zero is off by two feet!

Our hunts are a blast! There’s nothing like calling coyotes in the southwest deserts of Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. Your senses will be overwhelmed and will draw a hunter back to the desert over and over again to chase ol’ Wiley Coyote!
With millions of acres of public land in the west, it gives us the opportunity to scout and locate a lot of coyotes. We’ve put in the effort to find high producing areas and you can expect to see the results.
If you’ve never had the chance to call a coyote up close, you’re going to create an experience you’ll never forget! This hunt is very educational for the rookie caller, expect to take home a serious foundation for coyote calling. Your paradigm will be changed forever and you’ll call more coyotes in the future.

Testimonials
I did a three day two night guided hunt with Saunders. Even though it was a slower time to call per my understanding, we still got a lot of action and opportunity. This was an experience rather than just a hunt.
Saunders spent as much time as I wanted explaining and teaching which is ultimately what I wanted. Not only did I learn coyote hunting basics, it transferred to big game and dramatically improved my skills. I would recommend at least two days to maximize opportunities and gain foundational knowledge.
I’ve been calling predators for a few years. I harvest “my fair share”… or so I thought. Being what I considered a casual but reasonably experienced coyote hunter I thought I had techniques fairly well figured out – wind, sun, calls to use, positioning, etc.
I brought my son, who was 13 at the time, and we had an amazing time. Not used to seeing a lot of coyote activity I was literally STUNNED by stand after stand watching coyotes come to the call! Nearly every stand produced, and stands I never would have thought of trying! It wasn’t dumb luck, Saunders truly understands where coyotes live, what provokes them or piques their curiosity, how to hide in plain sight, and how to get them close! I now call him the Coyote Whisperer.
Hunting with him is so much more than just calling coyotes in, Saunders is truly passionate about teaching and imparting knowledge. He explains why he chose each setup, where he expects the coyotes to come from, what mouth or electronic calls to use, and more. Hunting with Saunders isn’t just watching coyotes run in, it’s a complete course on how to be a better hunter.

How Do I Get There?
Our clients typically fly in to Las Vegas Nevada or Salt Lake City, Utah, and then drive a rental car to an agreed upon location.
A pickup/drop off can be arranged for an extra fee. A shuttle service from Las Vegas can be arranged for Arizona hunts, which will be based out of Kanab, Utah.
What Should I Bring?
Your best camouflage, including cold weather gear such as thermals, beanies and gloves. High quality hunting/hiking boots and socks.
For your rifle setup, a common varmint caliber such as, .223, .22 Nosler, .22-250, or .243. We recommend a 3×9 powered scope at a minimum, and it is not necessary to have magnification past 15 power. 3×9, 4×12, and 3×15 are common, but most of the time you’ll use the 3-6 power range.
We highly recommend a 12 gauge shotgun in addition to your rifle. (One that doesn’t reflect light because of a high gloss finish) We recommend #4 buckshot.
It’s not necessary to bring a camera, your guide will provide all of the images taken during the hunt. Most cell phones are more than adequate for pictures. Please let us know if you have a special request.
Binoculars are not required, most predators will be called in to less than 100 yards. Your guide will use binoculars if necessary, although we prefer to scan without magnification.
Coyote Hunting Trips
When Do We Hunt?
Our prime season is October through February. Coyote trips are ideal in the fall and early winter, while calling Bobcats is ideal December through the first of February when prime fur is on.
Be sure to contact us ASAP as our schedule fills up fast!
Where Do We Hunt?
Most of our coyote calling trips are in Nevada, if you’re seeking other predators, such as Grey Fox or Bobcat, we recommend planning a trip to Arizona. With the right conditions we can also hunt Wyoming.
Occasionally we plan trips to Southern Utah, but Arizona, Wyoming, and Nevada are more desirable calling grounds.
If you fly into Las Vegas, NV or Salt Lake City, UT, expect to travel 2-5 hours from the airport to a meet up location. We’ll then blind fold you…. nah, just kidding, we’ll make a plan and meet at the hotel the afternoon before the first hunt. Plan on doing a zero check with your rifle.
Other Guided Predator Hunts?
For those interested, we are licensed predator hunting guides. We also guide for Grey Fox and Bobcats in areas where permitted. If you would like to call more than just coyotes, please call and we can discuss logistics based on your wish list.
How Do I Book a Hunt?
About Your Predator Hunting Outfitter
Why Choose Us?
We are passionate about what we do! We enjoy teaching others as much as we can, we are an open book and there’s nothing more fun than helping others improve and learn. All we think about is calling coyotes, it gets depressing in the offseason when we aren’t on stand listening to a rabbit in distress call, lol! You’ll love your time with us and calling song dogs in the desert!
Who Will Be My Guide?
Saunders Clark is the owner and operator of Coyote Hunting 101. Saunders started calling coyotes at the age of 12, albeit unsuccessfully at first, and he has spent the last eight years dedicating his life to becoming a polished coyote caller (He’s 40 now). He enjoys calling coyotes more than any other pursuit in life. His passion and attention to detail will excite and inspire you on your trip. Please contact us with any other questions about your guide!
Is There a Guarantee?
Our insurance policy will not allow us to make any guarantees. I’m not arrogant enough to say that we’ll call coyotes every single day, but if our history has anything to say about how we’ll do, you won’t be disappointed.
If we are unable to put a coyote in shooting range on any given day, we’ll comp a day on your next trip.
Can I Bring My Family?
Absolutely, Las Vegas has never ending entertainment, and our Arizona trips are ideal for families to tag along as Kanab is central to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, The North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and many other desirable scenic vacation sites.
Your guide, Saunders, spends his summers guiding ATV and hiking tours in the Kanab area and we can plan the trip of a lifetime for you and your family!
